These shots show the teams effort to create a condensed version of Edinburgh for Forza Horizon 4.
Working as a Senior Lighting Artist at Playground Games I had a hand in all elements of lighting the world of Forza Horizon 4. My responsibility's included but weren't limited to skybox creation and processing, dynamic time of day and weather setup, material and lighting R&D, post process setup, grading and offline lightmap, AO and render target creation.
Special care was given to the lighting nuances between the seasons including dedicated sky captures and sun arcs.
A game of this size and scope has more then one lighting artist working on it so I share the credit for the final result with CG supervisor Jamie Wood and fellow lighting artists Adan Currey, Ron Heimov and Fabio Salvi.
